Marbles and "repurposing"

We are always changing our display.  I love the glass stand Ron made for my cards and bookmarks.  Marbles are fused together to make the base for the flower pendant stand.

I have a collection of very old books that had belonged to my mother.  I read them many times as a child.  Now the pictures are used to display both the glass and flower earrings - and to make price cards.

August long weekend

Very busy weekend.  Two markets and visiting family - a lot of fun. At the markets, we displayed the new plates, dishes and coaster sets.

We have been having so much fun with our new kiln.  Very big.  So far, it has been filled with coaster sets, dishes and plates.  But Ron has some innovative new projects in mind....can't wait

Pinewood Cottage's birdhouses are so whimsical and unique.  Joan and Wally say this may be their last season at the market - hope not!

100 Mile House Farmer's Market

The 100 Mile House farmer's market is located on Highway 97, in the center of town.  This is where we can be found every Friday.

We finally have our banner

Our neighbour, Jan, is known as the Rag Lady.  She knits everything from dish soap dresses to tote bags, which the teenagers (boys and girls) love

Ed is our neighbour on the other side.  He sells eggs, plants and popcorn.

Love the hemp jewellery - very unique, original designs

Mina is a true artist and her amazing jewellery creations reflect that

Jeri-Lynne's bakery is a popular spot - her date loaves are my favourite

Willie is an artist who uses glass as her canvas - we have done many trades with her

We buy all our plants and fresh vegetables at the market.

Ceeds is a co-op and sells plants and organic vegetables as well as fair-trade coffee.  We always check out what they have first thing.

Stephanie and Siegfried manage the market.  Our garden is full of their flower and vegetable plants

There are many other vendors who make the market a fun place to be every Friday.  I will be taking more pictures soon!

It has been a slow start, but the dream is becoming a reality.  This building had originally been a ranch bunkhouse (interesting graffiti on the walls!)  The metal roof was the first reno.  Then the interior ceiling.

Loon Bay Market

While at the Loon Bay Market, we changed our table around (yet again!) to feature the sushi plates and small dishes.  The market is part of Loon Bay Resort, with a beautiful setting on Sheridan Lake.

The next week, at the 100 Mile Farmer's Market, we changed the tables as well

We bought these beautiful placemats from SinderbluStudio on Etsy.  Siana and Bryan are fellow vendors at Loon Bay so we get to enjoy their creations every week
